Boston Travelogue Day #5--October 18

Today was probably the most chilled out and uneventful day we have had. We hung out in the room until almost 11. I was with dh all day so the fact that I was able to really find adventure was limited. I turned the heel on my sock and am now doing the leg. Yippee!!

I went to Timeless Teas and bought some tea. Nice store, but I didn't have long to spend there. Came back and dh was ready to go.

We took the T to Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. When I came back from the tea place, I told dh that it was going to rain. It started as soon as we walked out of the hotel. We stayed dry as the subway is right here. Got on, got off at Fenway. Stopped at a restaurant called Uno Chicago Grill and ate there. More New England Clam Chowder and I had Buffalo Wing Quesadillas. Tip for you Texans. Do not order quesadillas in Boston. You will be sorely disappointed. But our waitress was very nice and we both loved the restaurant. Lots of Red Sox memorabilia which was cool. Headed for Fenway. Missed the tour and didn't want to wait another hour for another one. Took a few pics, got some souveniers for the boys and walked around that part of Boston for a bit. Went to the Barnes and Noble by Boston University. Tried a pumpkin spice latte. Yum! Decided we would have to see Harvard another time we were just simply tired of walking. We came back to the hotel and fell asleep. There is a banquet tonight and we both wanted to rest before that.

So now I need to go get dressed for the event. Hopefully we will find someone to take a picture of us looking all snazzy. Keep your fingers crossed that my feet hold up under the pressure.

While we were in Barnes and Noble, dh asked me where the bathroom was. WITHOUT THINKING I said, "Why do you want to know?" he said, "Because I want to go see if they have flushing toilets just like they do in Texas! Here's your sign!" Of course, I cracked up. A real Bill Engvall moment.
